Everything you need to know about the annual Food and Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure including food, entertainment and shows! Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival begins March 4 – April 26, 2022. Plus a FREE printable food and drink checklist created just for you.
During this annual festival you can feast, drink and be merry. Taste your way through a dozen festival marketplaces that offer an assortment of mouthwatering bites and beverages for every palate. This event doesn’t require a separate ticket. You just need your ticket to get into Disney California Adventure and a reservation for that park. The event includes lots of food, entertainment and merchandise. And of course I have created a FREE printable checklist with all the food and where to find each item. This food list is found at the end of this post. Here are a few of the photos that Disney has shared with us, look at just a sample of the delicious food options this year!

Food and Wine Festival – THE FOOD
There are 12 different marketplaces plus other dining locations including Pym Tasting Lab and Terran Treats at Avengers Campus that will feature special festival menu items. You can plan ahead, look at menus and decide what you want to eat before your visit. I will be at the Food and Wine Festival in early March. Once I have gone and have some of my favorite eats, treats and drinks I will share!
Festival Marketplaces – 12 locations
- Avocado Time
- Berry Patch
- California Craft Brews
- Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo
- D•Lish
- Garlic Kissed
- Golden Dreams
- I Heart Artichokes
- LA Style
- Nuts About Cheese
- Peppers Cali-ente
- Uncork California
Above is a photo of what the marketplace food booths look like. Now the lines to get food, drinks, or snacks can get very long. But I have a PRO TIP! Find the shortest food booth line out of the 12 marketplaces. Look for the “Order here” sign. Now order any of the food offerings available from ANY of the 12 marketplace menu items at the booth with the shortest line. That’s why you need a checklist (located at the bottom of this post) with all the food so you know what to order from the one location you choose to order from. Then pay for all your items at the booth with the shortest line. Now take your receipt to each marketplace that makes that item and skip the long order line. Look for the “Pick up Here” sign and voila grab your food!!! Below are examples of signs you’re looking for, even though these are from Lunar New Year, you get the idea! Now DON’T loose your receipt, that’s the only way to prove you’ve paid for an item. As you pick up your items they will mark them off as seen below (yep another Lunar New Year example, but same concept).
This tip is a huge time saver especially during spring break time and heavy crowds. And the other tip I suggest is get your food early in the day. As the day goes on the lines get longer!
Sip and Savor Pass
Enjoy again this year the Sip and Savor Pass, which consists of a commemorative credential, lanyard and 8 coupons, redeemable for select food and beverage offerings (excluding alcohol) at participating Festival Marketplaces and dining locations. You can purchase the Sip and Savor Pass at many locations throughout the park. Magic Key holders will receive a reduced price as well as a special souvenir lanyard. The cost of the Sip and Savor pass this year is $57 for guests and $52 for Magic Key holders and/or Disney Visa Card holders. Below is a photo from 2019 of a sip and savor pass.
I always get asked, is the Sip and Savor Pass worth it? Well I can’t really answer that question because it depends on what items you are eating. If you choose eight $5.00 items to use your coupons on then no. Get an idea of what you want to eat or drink and estimate a total then divide by 8 (the number of tabs you receive). The idea is to use the tabs on the higher valued items to get the most value out of the pass.
Return of Soarin’ Over California
Another exciting part about this event is the return of Soarin’ Over California. This attraction was removed and we have enjoyed Soarin’ Around the World, but I really enjoy the California version of this ride. I love the smell of oranges and traveling all over California. This attraction returns March 4th to Disney California Adventure.
Entertainment for everyone
There are some shows that take place during the festival. Some performances are daily and then some only take place on the weekends. The Jammin’ Chefs show returns in a new location. Find them over in Hollywood land near the Hyperion Theatre. The high energy drummers sing and dance along with Chip and Dale in their chef outfits. It’s a cute culinary themed show that will entertain all ages. Performance times are at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:45 PM, 1:45 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, times are subject to change. Always double check showtimes in the Disneyland app.

During “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party,” kids ages 3 through 11 will have the opportunity to express their creativity through hands-on cupcake decorating. Space is limited, and participant sign-ups begin 45 minutes before each show time. A line forms to the left of the stage. During the week shows are at 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 2:15 PM. Then on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:15 PM. Always check on the day you arrive in the app as show times are subject to change. Also right next to the staging area they have free craft stations for the kids. They can color their own Chef Mickey hat to take home as a souvenir.
FREE printable Food and Wine checklist
You are going to want this list to help you decide what to eat and drink at the festival. Plus it will tell you where each item is located, at which marketplace or restaurant. In addition you can see which locations accept the Sip and Savor tabs. This printable includes all the food and non-alcoholic drinks this year at the festival. Click here to print the list!
I hope you get a chance to check out the Food and Wine Festival this year. There’s something for everyone. Happy eating and celebrating at this fun event.
Need theme park tickets or hotel for your visit. I’d suggest looking at this post.
Pin this post to your Disney board.
Can you use that same time-saving trick of going to the “pick up here” line with the tickets from the sip and savor pass as well just like you would with the receipt?
When you go to pay for your items at the one booth you can pay with the tabs from the Sip and Savor pass. Then you take the receipt to each different booth.
Are the food booths just kinda get in line and order, or do you order on the app? And do you need any reservations? And while I have you, do you know why Soarin’ over California is losing the last week of the food and wine fest? Just curious if they’re renovating it or if it’s gone for good. Thanks!!
Read the post about how to get food. You stand in line and order all food at one booth. Nothing is done in the app and you don’t need reservations. Soarin’ Over California is only for the festival and then they change it back to the normal World version.
